A message about #LTEN2020 and your health

We’re excited for this year’s LTEN Annual Conference being held in Kissimmee, Florida on June 8-11 and we can’t wait to see you.

We realize there is a lot of concern around COVID-19 and our current view is “keep calm and carry on” with the added belief that we should also “stay in-the-know and act accordingly.”

Your health and safety are of the utmost concern and we will do everything possible to ensure a comfortable and safe learning experience. Although we cannot predict what June will hold, rest assured we are monitoring the situation daily.

We invite you to bookmark the CDC’s travel recommendations regarding COVID-19 and encourage everyone to continue checking the travel recommendations. In addition to suggesting recommendations like frequent hand washing and other travel advice from the CDC, LTEN will be putting in place additional safeguards at this year’s event including:

  • Disinfecting wipes and liquid hand sanitizers in workshops and main gathering areas, such as Registration, Networking Events, the Exhibit Hall, Learning Labs, and General Session areas.
  • Frequent disinfecting of Registration kiosks and counters.
  • Encouraging workshop presenters to consider alternatives to handshakes and physical activity.

LTEN is your partner in advancing your life sciences learning skills and we are here to help you and your team navigate potential challenges. If you have concerns about an upcoming event, please reach out to us at Christine Gaudet at cgaudet@L-TEN.org. We are here to support you however we can.

Thank you,
Dawn Brehm
LTEN Executive Director
