Roanoke, VA, December 5, 2016 – The Life Sciences Trainers & Educators Network (LTEN), a global nonprofit professional association, today announced the final two keynote speakers for the 46th LTEN Annual Conference, the annual life sciences trainers and educators conference. This year’s event will feature award-winning filmmaker and best-selling author Eric Saperston and Dr. Frank Barrett, jazz pianist, author and management scholar as keynote speakers. The event will take place on June 5-8, 2017 at the Gaylord Opryland in Nashville, TN. The conference builds on the LTEN mission of providing life sciences trainers and educators with clarity, community, and career they need to excel at leadership and learning.
Eric Saperston is an American award-winning filmmaker, best-selling author, international keynote speaker and Chief Creative Officer of Live In Wonder, a content creation company with a global campaign to bring a billion people to wonder. Wonder being defined as “Living life as an adventure; to be filled with excitement, joy, and childlike curiosity.” Saperston is a prolific speaker, storyteller, activist, and visionary who has spent the last 20 years studying the behaviors of world leaders, business tycoons, rock stars and visionaries to discover the common traits, motivating factors and guiding principles which enable everyday people to produce extraordinary results.
Dr. Frank Barrett is an accomplished, long-time pianist and is currently a professor of management at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California, associate at the The Taos Institue, adjunct professor of human and organizational development at the Fielding Graduate University, and author of “Yes to the Mess: Surprising Leadership Lessons from Jazz.” Against the backdrop of jazz, Dr. Barrett shares what jazz legends Duke Ellington and Miles Davis can teach us about leadership and management.
Saperston and Dr. Barrett will join keynote speaker Melissa Stockwell. They are among the more than one hundred and fifty speakers who will address the Conference.
